Atonal music like that of Russian composer Alfred Schnittke connects her to the surprising twists and turn of her own art.
Patricia's current favorite genres are Rap & Hip-Hop. The strong message, sampling, and layering of these contemporary urban sounds are the musical equivalent of collage and fabric piecing. The latest CD's of Eminem and Mos Def are frequently in the headphones.
